Shawn has spent the last several years as an industry consultant where he advices global fertilizer companies, US fertilizer distributers, private equity firms, and investment banks across the nitrogen fertilizer and low carbon ammonia value chains. Before joining the Elevar team, Shawn worked at Koch Industries for 32 years where he served more recently as the Vice President of Operations for Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES). Under Shawn’s operations, safety, and compliance leadership, KAES’s terminal and distribution network became an industry leader. Shawn also supported KAES’s enhanced-efficiency fertilizer growth and provided leadership oversight for a successful greenfield methanol plant and terminal start-up in St. James, LA. Prior to his time with KAES, Shawn served in engineering, process safety, reliability, and pipeline operations roles with Koch Engineering and Koch Pipeline Ammonia Division. He graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering Technology from Kansas State University in 1989.
