Kim’s key focus areas for Elevar are the Asian and North Amercian markets for specialty grains, renewables, plant-based proteins and logistics. His career has spanned more than 40 years in the international agricultural-commodities trade in several senior executive roles with Continental Grain Company, Koch Industries/ExSeed Genetics, BASF Plant Science, and Seaboard Corporation. In these roles, his experience has spanned the international trading of grains, food commodities merchandising, agricultural biotechnology, agricultural risk management, processing facility management, and general trade administration. Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Asian studies with a concentration in Chinese language (Mandarin) from the University of Arizona and a masters of international management from the American Graduate School of International Management. Kim has lived in Australia, Bermuda, Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, as well as worked with multiple agribusiness markets in North America, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
