Darrin started Elevar Agri-Solutions with a goal of using his years of industry experience to improve retailer procurement options, increase global market knowledge, and address retailer desires to share market information with their member owners.​ He began his career at Tramco Inc., a grain handling company, where worked for 10 years, advancing to the role of Controller. He then moved to Koch Hydrocarbon where he was the director of Midwest fractionation services before transitioning to a fertilizer trading role in Koch Fertilizer. In this role, he covered urea off-take supply produced in Venezuela and supplying import UAN to several east coast terminals, as well as barge trading on the river system. Darrin started his own consulting business in the natural gas liquids industry, Sandstone Energy, LLC, which he grew for 6 years before returning to Koch Fertilizer to lead a sales team of all commodity fertilizers in the western corn belt and N American UAN Product Line Leader roles.
